Pets can be very curious eaters. For some of them, their food isn’t the only thing they try to ingest. Though many inedible objects can pass harmlessly through their gastrointestinal tract, occasionally pets will swallow something that cannot pass through their stomach or intestines. This creates a gastrointestinal foreign body obstruction. This course is a case-based learning (CBL) style course with patient information, brief medical history, and a surgical demonstration performed by Dr. Young Joo Kim of Central Orange County Emergency Animal Hospital. 3D version is optimized for viewing on a 3D TV with 3D glasses.
